Dear ECON Majors,
If you would like
to impress future employers or graduate programs with a really solid
demonstration of your initiative, good writing skills, and willingness to take
on a challenge, then consider participating in the Economics Department's
honors program next year. Detailed information on the honors program,
including eligibility requirements, can be found online at http://www.econ.umd.edu/undergraduate/honors.
If
interested, please complete an application and submit it
directly to Dr. Limao at limao@econ.umd.edu. Students
are encouraged to submit completed applications no later than Friday, April 10th, as
space is limited. Those students who meet the April 10th
deadline can expect to receive an initial decision at the end of
May.
**Important Note:
ECON396 is scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30am – 10:45am for Fall
2015. If you are applying to the honors program, you must leave that time
slot open when Fall 2015 registration begins or you must be willing to drop
whatever course is during that time slot if you are accepted into the program.
