Research Fellowship Positions at EPA National Center for Environmental Economics

Below please find links for two paid research fellowship opportunities at the EPA's National Center for Environmental Economics. The positions will be administered through the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE). Applicants should have received a bachelor’s or master’s degree in either economics, applied mathematics, geographic information science, or a closely related field within five years of the desired starting date. The participants will join a group of environmental economists and scientists in NCEE to support research and related activities.

* EPA-OP/NCEE-2015-02 — Estimating Economic Benefits of Improved Water Quality Using Hedonic Valuation Methods: The goal of this project is to develop improved methods to evaluate the economic benefits associated with water-quality improvements. This research aims to extend the use of observed changes in property prices to value changes in water quality.

* EPA-OP/NCEE-2015-03 — Survey Methods and Use of Focus Groups for Valuation of Non-Market Goods and Services: The goal of this project is to pursue focus group research in several areas of non-market valuation to improve our ability to estimate the economic benefits of environmental regulation.
