GE U.S. Government Affairs and Policy Summer Internship

The Government Affairs and Policy Summer Internship is a 2-4 month assignment based in our Washington D.C. office. The position will support the Government Affairs team and work on projects assigned by GE's Government Affairs and Policy leadership team.

Essential Responsibilities:

-Research and report on US public policy and regulatory issues such as, financial services, energy, healthcare and transportation
-Attend relevant internal and external meetings/briefings
-Create and edit presentation and briefing materials
-Develop, maintain and support databases as needed
-Coordinate office requests such as responding to internal & external requests for information and documentation
-Assist with logistics for high-level visits and events
-Special assignments/projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

Must be a full time student who has completed their Sophomore year at an undergraduate university, pursuing degrees in international relations, politics, economics, public policy or similar discipline
Minimum of a 3.5 or above cumulative GPA

Eligibility Requirements:

-40 hour per week commitment
-Must be willing to work out of the Washington D.C. office
-Must be able to commit 2-4 months

-Must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance
-GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
