Intern-Immigrant Family Economic Success in the Rural U.S.

The Rural Immigrant Family Economic Success Intern will assist Aspen CSG’s Executive Director and Program Managers with outreach, research, strategy-setting, writing, social media and event planning focused primarily on advancing economic stability and mobility for immigrants living in rural places in the United States. The Intern will be a critical member of our small, close-knit, high-performing team. Like everyone on the small CSG staff, the Intern must collaboratively “roll with” the work as it develops, acting as both a generalist and specialist, doing a bit (or a lot) of everything, from the mundane to the creative, on a wide range of both short-term and long-term projects, with a level head and healthy sense of humor.

The Intern’s responsibilities will include a particular emphasis on outreach to leading immigrant organizations, topical discovery/research, writing for community actors, developing and maintaining services for the RuFES Action Network related to rural immigration, and technical and operational “backbone” duties that are essential to keeping CSG solid and on the move.
