Economics Consulting Internship for Junior/Senior ECON Major

Spring/Summer Internship

Economics Partners LLC is looking for juniors or seniors majoring in economics, finance, mathematics, statistics or accounting to work as interns in our Washington, D.C. office during the Summer of 2021, and ideally the Spring of 2021 if available. Interns earn $25.00 / hour and, depending on the quality of work performed, may be offered full-time positions once they graduate.

Job Description

The work our interns perform provide them with skills they will need to work in the applied finance and economic consulting fields. Interns will work on a variety of assignments including but not limited to:
  • in-depth company, industry, and market research;
  • data collection and analysis;
  • financial and statistical analyses and modeling;
  • valuation analyses, including discounted cash flow, market multiples, and economic modeling; and
  • evaluating the arm’s-length nature of intercompany transactions through the application of finance and microeconomic analyses.
The environment at Economics Partners LLC is very collegial; as such, interns will have the opportunity to work with associates, managers, directors, and partners on a regular basis.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Cover letter required and must include: 1) a maximum of 400 words; 2) outline interest in economics, finance and/or valuation; and 3) outline why you want to intern for an economic consulting firm.
  • 3.0 or above GPA required (unofficial transcript must be submitted as part of application process).
  • Ideal candidates will be pursuing a degree in economics, finance, mathematics, statistics or accounting.
  • Strong communication skills and excellent Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills.
  • Analytical mind and ability to handle multiple projects at a time.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S., now and in the future, without sponsorship.
