Paid Internship with DC Homeland Security and Emergency Management

The District of Columbia Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency is a unique and dynamic organization dedicated to protecting against, planning for, responding to, and recovering from natural and man-made hazards. The internship program will provide real-world knowledge and experience in emergency management, homeland security efforts, and intelligence analysis.

Duration of Internship: January 11, 2016 – May 13, 2016 Compensation: Starting at $1,200.00 Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm (Subject to change based on specific placement) **Applicants must be US citizens and are subject to a background check**

We are seeking current graduate AND undergraduate students who are interested in or who are majoring in the following or similar field(s):

- Cybersecurity
- Criminal Justice
- Emergency Management
- Homeland Security
- Intelligence Analysis
- Information Technology /Computer Science
- International Relations
- Graphic Design
- Public Administration /Policy
- Public Communication /Relations

A highly qualified applicant will possess the following: self-motivation, attention to detail, critical thinking skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
