Thursday Noon Forum "Strategic Trade Controls in a Globalized World"

The CISSM Global Forum will be held on Thursday, February 14th from 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm in 1203 Van Munching Hall, College Park, MD 20742. It is open to the public (no RSVPs required) and is supported by the Yamamoto-Scheffelin Endowment for Policy Research and the IDEV Council.

The speakers include Andrea Viski, Founder, Strategic Trade Institute; and Todd Perry, Director, International Nonproliferation Export Control Program (INECP), Department of Energy.

Andrea Viski founded the Strategic Trade Review in 2015 and the Strategic Trade Research Institute in 2017. She works with many other organizations providing expertise and experience on research, training, and project implementation. She is a nonresident fellow at the University of Georgia's Center for International Trade and Security (CITS).

Todd Perry has directed the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE's) International Nonproliferation Export Control Program (INECP) since 2002. In coordination with the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Nonproliferation and Export Control Cooperation and other State Department Offices, INECP draws upon over 50 nonproliferation and threat reduction technical specialists from a dozen U.S. national laboratories and universities to establish technical and training partnerships with over 50 countries and international organizations seeking to strengthen the effectiveness of export control and related border security systems.
