Federal Reserve: Exploring Careers in Economics -- October 19 at 1pm

Below are several ways in which students can be involved with outreach efforts at the Federal Reserve Board this semester.

Tuesday, October 19 at 1:00pm EST: Exploring Careers in Economics – At this event, Fed staff will welcome students nationwide via webcast to discuss career opportunities and diversity in economics. This is a great opportunity to learn about career paths within the Federal Reserve System. Your students may register using the following link: https://www.federalreserve.gov/conferences/exploring-careers-in-economics-fall-2021.htm

We have five recorded sessions available for viewing at https://www.federalreserve.gov/conferences/exploring-careers-in-economics.htm. Past keynote speakers include Governor Lael Brainard (Fall 2020), Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta President Raphael Bostic (Fall 2019), and Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco President Mary Daly (Spring 2019).

Economics Outreach – In the attached newsletter, you will find information about our upcoming information sessions on our early career opportunities at the Board. These information sessions are great for students who are interested in pursuing economics related internships and RA positions. If you would like to receive our monthly newsletters that highlight new dates and times for these outreach sessions, while highlighting various programs and useful information for your students to foster their desire to pursue a career in economics, please email Kaitlyn.rubley@frb.gov.

www.fedeconjobs.org – The Federal Reserve System’s portal for information on RA and internship opportunities at the Board and all 12 Reserve Banks has undergone a recent refresh. We would like for you to direct any students interested in economics related careers at the Fed to it to find out about open positions, and how RAs contribute to the health of the economy and work of Fed Economists across the System.
