Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager and indirectly to assigned faculty, the Research Support Associate will work with a group of faculty in regards to both administrative and research-related needs. The Research Support Associate will start during Spring 2023.
This is a full-time, one-year appointment that is renewable annually (contingent on funding). A commitment of two years is strongly preferred. The hourly pay range is $21.50 – $23/hr.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Will assist a group of faculty in various research related projects that may include statistical analysis of data and other information in relation to faculty research projects.
- Will be responsible for general administrative duties for a group of faculty. Will be expected to attend training in financial and web based applications.
- Will assist in class and seminar preparation for faculty.
- Responsible for preparing, proofreading and transmitting recommendation letters and other correspondence as needed.
- Will also support the administrative activities of Blueprint Labs through operations, events, and research grants.
- Other departmental duties as needed or required
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in economics or a related social science discipline preferred.
Skills: Knowledge of social science research and data collection methods. Strong skills in statistical analysis (Stata or R) and data management (spreadsheets and databases) is beneficial. Position requires strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, ability to meet deadlines, and work independently as well as part of a team.
