The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) is currently accepting applications for our Summer 2023 Internship Program.
The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean is one of the five regional Commissions of the United Nations. It was founded in 1948 with the purpose of contributing to the region's economic and social development. Its mission includes the design, monitoring and evaluation of public policies and the provision of advisory services, expertise and training to Governments, as well as support for regional and international cooperation and coordination activities. - Assisting in the execution of the substantive work of the Office;
- Engaging in economic analysis with a focus on trade, international finance, and development;
- Research and investigate international trade and finance issues of relevance to Latin America and the Caribbean region;
- Collect information from official country data, specialized agencies and other sources;
- Review and compile the collected data and information, prepare reports and update databases of the Office, incorporating appropriate tables, graphs, charts with references;
- The intern may also be asked to assist in the day-to-day work of the Office if required.
