Bloomberg - 2014 Financial Product Sales & Analytics - New York

The Analytics Representative provides consulting services to our clients by answering their questions and responding to their unique financial needs. This involves assisting them with their use of the Bloomberg Professional® Service and demonstrating the advantages of our products.

This position offers the opportunity to develop the necessary knowledge and skills for a career at Bloomberg by offering comprehensive training on our products and services, an introduction to our clients, and insight into global financial markets.

Your career will begin in our Analytics department as a Generalist, where you will respond to a high volume of client inquiries coming through our help desk. While in Analytics, you will specialize in one of the following market sectors: Fixed Income, Equities, or Foreign Exchange (FX) and/or Commodities. This will set the foundation for career opportunities, by allowing you to build relationships while you support our suite of market leading solutions to our high-level clients. The typical career path will lead to a sales opportunity, but may also include an advanced specialization, leadership position, or other opportunities within our Financial Products division.

Because this is an entry level role, visa sponsorship is not provided.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Your ability to start full time employment in Summer 2014 (June, July, or August)
-Bachelors degree from a four year college or university
-GPA of at least 3.0
-Recent work experience, or internship, in finance or business, or recent sales experience
-Fluency in Excel

In addition, you will need to demonstrate the following during the interview process:
-Desire and flexibility to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
-Desire to work in a client facing capacity
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong presentation and persuasion
skills
-Willingness to travel up to 60% once in Sales
-Multi-tasking skills
-Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
-Team player

Other criteria and skills that will help us evaluate your application, but which are not minimum qualifications, are as follows:

Preferred Qualifications:
-GPA of at least [3.3]
-Coursework in economics, marketing, finance and/or business
-Prior experience with the Bloomberg terminal
-Demonstrated knowledge of Bloomberg and the financial markets
-Fluency in a foreign language
