Milken Institute - Summer Internship

The Milken Institute, with offices in Washington, DC, and Santa Monica, CA, is an independent, non-partisan economic think tank with a mission to improve lives around the world by advancing innovative economic and financial policy solutions that create jobs, widen access to capital, and enhance health.

The Milken Institute Center for Financial Markets, based in Washington, DC, is seeking a graduate student or undergraduate senior for a paid Summer Internship. The candidate's coursework and/or major should have a significant focus on finance or economics, and the candidate should demonstrate an interest in one or more of the following aspects of public policy:

 Global banking regulation
 Capital markets and infrastructure financing in developing countries
 U.S. housing finance and GSE reform
 The JOBS Act and access to capital for start-ups and small businesses
 Financial market education for improved public policy

The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to use Excel, comfort engaging Congressional offices on the phone, and research and writing skills.
