Technomics, Inc. - Entry Level Cost Analyst

You will work with senior Technomics analysts to shape future Department of Defense (DoD) budgets for the nation’s most critical and technologically complex weapon system programs, including aircraft, ship, space, vehicle and missile programs. You will assist our senior analysts in researching, developing and applying quantitative techniques to estimate the costs to develop, produce, operate and support these systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: 1) collection, organization and normalization of cost and technical data; 2) analysis of data using quantitative techniques such as regression, optimization and simulation; 3) documentation and presentation of data and analysis; and 4) learn as much as possible as fast as possible.

Qualifications
 
BA (Bachelor of Arts) or BS (Bachelor of Science) with a minimum of 24 credit hours in quantitative courses in the following disciplines: economics, engineering, mathematics, operations research or statistics. Minimum overall and major GPAs of 3.0 out of 4.0. Candidates should be motivated self-starters who enjoy solving challenging quantitative problems in a collaborative environment. Candidates should be quantitative, creative, inquisitive, candid and entrepreneurial. Candidates should have an interest in high technology systems. Candidates should have strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel skills. Candidates should have an interest in contributing to the success of corporate initiatives (e.g., process improvements) that impact Technomics’ performance and health. Because all candidates must be able to hold a DoD security clearance, the applicant must be a U.S. citizen. This position requires some travel outside the Washington, DC area.
