Intergroup Dialogue Program for Undergraduate Students-Spots Available!

As part of the Office of Diversity & Inclusion, we offer the Words of Engagement Intergroup Dialogue Program (WEIDP) for undergraduate students who are interested in engaging with other students on difficult, but rewarding, topics. Our intergroup dialogues include dialogues across race, gender, nationality, sexuality, among others.

Classes are taught by trained and experienced facilitators. Participants can expect a rich and rewarding experience as well as an opportunity to develop skills in cultural competence.

All dialogues are 7-week, 1-credit courses that are held in the first and second halves of each semester and WEIDP courses satisfy the General Education Cultural Competence.

We currently have openings in the following dialogues:

Queer Camp Story Circle
College Park Community/UMD Campus
Veteran/Non-Veteran
Ableism 101
Sexual Identity (LGBT/Heterosexual)
