ActionAid USA - International Development Policy Fellow

We are currently seeking an International Development Policy Fellow to work in our Washington, DC office.

ActionAid is a global movement of people working together to achieve greater human rights for all and defeat poverty. We believe people in poverty have the power to create change for themselves, their families and communities. ActionAid is a catalyst for that change.

The fellowship period spans from September 2014 until December 2014, but exact dates are flexible. Applicants willing to extend the duration of the fellowship through May 2015 are preferred. We are looking for someone who can commit to a full-time schedule, or nearly full-time schedule. The position offers a monthly stipend.
Description:

This fellowship position seeks a candidate interested in international development policy and issues related to land rights, global hunger, food sovereignty, and advocacy for a just reconstruction in Haiti. The position is open to students with interest and experience in the field of international development.

The positions will support ActionAid USA’s ongoing policy and campaign work on international development policy, with a focus on agricultural development policy, biofuels, and/or Haiti policy. Activities will include research, writing and production of materials, event planning, attending meetings, and some administration.
