The Actuarial and Analytics Summer Internship Program provides qualified students an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand business experience, receive valuable on-the-job training, and learn about the many actuarial and analytics positions available in the insurance industry. This challenging program also includes training modules, both peer and management social functions and a mentor program. Interns will work on challenging assignments that will utilize and develop their technical skills as well as their overall business skills. 
 
We offer paid intern positions in Hartford, CT, Chicago, IL* and St. Paul, MN. We provide:

Subsidized apartments are available for students who live beyond a commutable distance. Positions are available beginning in early June and last approximately 10-12 weeks.

Actuarial-Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree
  • Sophomore and Juniors (Freshman considered if all criterion are met and very strong)
  • Related internships/work experience helpful
  • Cumulative overall GPA of 3.2 or greater preferred
  • Scheduled, taken and/or passed one CAS/SOA exam helpful
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, etc.)
  • Extra-curricular involvement on campus or in the community
  • Demonstrated analytical, mathematical, communication, & leadership skills
  • U.S. Citizen and Permanent Resident preferred
 Analytics-Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Masters and PhD (consider strong bachelors)
  • Related internships/work experience helpful
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, etc.)
  • Extra-curricular involvement on campus or in the community
  • Demonstrated analytical, mathematical, communication, & leadership skills
  • U.S. Citizen and Permanent Resident not required
