Graduating seniors (graduating in 2023 or 2024) in Economics! Apply for the position of Junior Stanley Surrey Fellow in the Office of Tax Analysis (OTA), U.S. Department of the Treasury. The fellowship is a great entry level position for economics students who want to work in public policy, further develop skills and who enjoy a fast-paced collegial environment.
- a degree in economics including 21 semester hours in economics and 3 semester hours in statistics, accounting, or calculus; or
- a combination of formal education and experience that is equivalent to a major in economics with the appropriate course work.
Fellows must also be U.S. citizens.
The fellowship is a 2-year full-time, paid work position (GS-7 or 9 depending on experience) in Washington, D.C. and is often used as a bridge between undergraduate and graduate education. Fellows are up for promotion to a higher grade level after one year. Our office is currently on a hybrid work schedule with 2 required workdays in the Treasury Building. The number of required workdays in the office may increase.
