Apex Fund is a UMD student-run investment fund managing ~$7.5k in capital investing in high-quality, FCF generative businesses with <$10B market cap. We evaluate businesses through fundamental research, financial modeling, and analyzing macroeconomic trends. Our purpose is to provide an experiential-based opportunity for students to enhance their critical thinking and equity analysis skills for personal and professional development.
The Fundamental Team is looking for freshmen and sophomores to join the team as junior analysts. As a junior analyst, you will undergo an 8-week training course on financial statement analysis and financial modeling. Throughout the year, all junior analysts will pitch at least one stock of their choosing and present a full 3 statement financial model with a detailed analysis of the business, industry, and macroeconomic trends.
