Paid Undergraduate Research Assistantship

Calling all BSOS students looking for a PAID research opportunity! Are you interested in a meaningful research assistantship on a National Science Foundation funded project?

Sociology department Professor Mansoor Moaddel is seeking an undergraduate student to participate in a project in order to learn about survey research and data analysis, starting as soon as possible. The project is on panel study of changes in values in Egypt and Turkey.

The student will be paid $15 per hour for (at least) 10 hours per week, with the possibility of employment to continue through the summer of 2017. The prospective student is expected to be familiar with the SPSS, motivated, and willing to learn about the attitudes and value orientations of the publics from the Middle East and North Africa.

Dr. Moaddel studies culture, ideology, political conflict, revolution and social change. His work currently focuses on the causes and consequences of values and attitudes of the Middle Eastern publics.
