Women Leading Women is an annual event that celebrates and showcases our fearless female alumnae and other enterprising women in business from the classroom to the C-suite. The event, centered around a one-on-one discussion, inspires and challenges attendees to realize and reach their full potential.

This year's honoree is Marguerita (Rita) Cheng, a 1993 Smith School alumna and founder and CEO of Blue Ocean Global Wealth in Rockville, Md. Find out how this enterprising executive made the successful transition from the sales floor at Nordstrom to founding her own company.

The event closes with a raffle drawing for some exciting giveaways, followed immediately by a networking reception.

Women Leading Women is complimentary and open to all Smith School and University of Maryland women, including alumnae, faculty, staff and students, their guests and friends. The event caps a lineup of month-long activities in celebration of Women’s History Month.
